Automation and Control Systems

Automation is defined as the technology by which a process or procedure is performed with minimal human assistance. Automation (automatic control) is the use of various control systems in order to operate equipment such as machinery, processes in factories, steering and stabilization of applications, and vehicles with reduced human intervention. Using control loops, a control system manages, commands, or regulates the behavior of other systems and/or devices.
